Information sharing

The success of our business relies on your trust, and we will never share your personal information with non-Knight Frank marketing organisations. We share your personal information within Knight Frank and as described in this Policy. We only share personal information with non-Knight Frank marketing organisations if you have consented to this, or as described in this Policy.

Joint promotions with carefully selected business partners

We may, from time to time, collect personal and other information for the purposes of a joint programme or joint promotion with a business partner and share your information with the latter. For the purposes of this type of programme, we will clearly specify, at the time of collection, that the information will be shared with Knight Frank as well as the participating business partner and will request your consent as required by applicable laws.

Third-party service providers

We engage third-party service providers to carry out various business operations on our behalf. As a result, we share your Personal Information with these service providers. We only provide our service providers with the Personal Information they need to perform the services we ask of them. We therefore contractually require them to protect this information in an appropriate manner and to refrain from using it for any other purpose.

Where permitted by law, we combine the Personal Information that Knight Frank has collected about you with Personal Information that a business partner has collected about you so that we can send joint promotional communications that are customised to you. Our service provider will only be allowed to use the combined information set to send you joint communications that we hope will be of interest to you. PLEASE NOTE: We will honour your request to stop receiving promotional messages from Knight Frank by email, SMS or post as soon as possible. However, we may continue to send you communications relating to our services. We may keep information in our records to ensure that we respect your request not to receive certain types of messages.

You and your information

To the extent provided by applicable law, you have certain rights regarding the management of the personal data we hold about you.

Access

We take precautions to ensure the accuracy of your personal information. Several Knight Frank programmes give access to consult or update the personal information that you provided when you registered online. Deleting your online account will not delete data that you have shared with Knight Frank for reasons unrelated to your online account. If you would like us to delete your data unrelated to your online account, please contact us as indicated below and we will process your request as appropriate under applicable law.

To the extent provided by applicable law, you have the right to request the rectification of your personal data, to obtain the restriction of the processing of such data, and to object to its processing (for direct marketing purposes) as well as to its transferability. These online marketing offers come from Knight Frank brands and/or carefully selected business partners. They take into account your interests and are sent to your device by means of a cookie or any other identifier assigned to your device. These cookies or other identifiers are placed in general interest categories that we establish from information such as:

  • the mobile applications you use

Links to third-party websites and social networks

Knight Frank websites may contain links to third-party websites. As Knight Frank does not control these websites, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of each website you visit.

Social media and third-party plugins

Our websites may include plugins from social networks or other third parties. For example, the Facebook ‘Like’ button is a plugin. Where permitted by law, these plugins may communicate with the party that provided them and send them information, even if you do not click on them. This information may include your IP address, information about your browser and device, and the address of the web page you are viewing on our site. Loading, using or clicking on these plugins can also result in cookies being placed, read and transmitted. These cookies may contain a unique identifier that the social network or third party assigns to you. Logging in via social networks and third parties

Data security

Knight Frank endeavours to ensure the security of personal information. We have put in place technical, administrative and physical procedures to protect personal information from loss, theft or alteration.

We restrict access to personal information to those who need to know it for business reasons. We only keep personal information for as long as is deemed reasonably necessary.

Data transfer

We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to recipients located in countries other than the country in which the information was originally collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your information to recipients located in other countries: (i) we make these transfers in compliance with the requirements of applicable law; and (ii) we protect the personal information transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
